Saudi Arabia is investing billions of dollars in building new sports infrastructure. This includes the construction of stadiums for major international events such as the upcoming FIFA World Cup in 2034. The country is also developing large-scale sports cities like Qiddiya and NEOM, along with training facilities, gyms, and youth academies to nurture local talent. Motorsports circuits, such as the Jeddah Corniche Circuit for Formula 1, are also part of this development wave. These areas—many still under construction—collectively represent what could be called a “sports construction zone,” both literally and symbolically.
